The Matrix Club in Naperville, Illinois, is a premier events facility offering state-of-the-art technology and a luxurious environment for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and concerts. DesignTeq Consulting Engineers provided MEP design services for a former Sam’s Club site approximately 75,000 sq. ft. complex and was transformed into a modern new arts, performance, and private event venue. When completed, the building featured a 1,200-seat banquet hall, a 210-seat theater, a 200-seat restaurant, banquet hall, pre-function area, two commercial kitchens (totaling 6,000 sq. ft.), administrative offices, and two bars. The project also included an electrical service upgrade to a 4,000 Amp service. Working on a project that aimed to bring different cultures together in such a positive way was extremely gratifying. Defined as an international hub of culture and arts, this project was created to bring different cultures around the world into a space highlighting their unique music, art, literature, and fine cuisine. Featuring a Michelin star chef, ownership wanted no compromises when showcasing the cuisine of the highlighted cultures. To be a part of the team that helped turn a 15-year vision into reality was a truly special experience.
